Jerusalem was located two miles northwest of Dew and about a quarter mile northeast of the community of Ivory. Jerusalem was a much older community that faded by 1918 when maps just list the church house. During the first decade of the 1900s, Jerusalem residents would have gotten their mail from Ivory and later from Teague after the railroad was built. The Church at Jerusalem was reknown for its excellent preaching.
