Beat #1 - County Commissioner - D[aniel] T[omlinson] Yates 
      "Sixty two citizens of beat No. 1, and surroundings held a meeting at 
the bridge on Cottonwood on the Fairfield and Stewards Mill road on Saturday, 
May 22d, to give expression of their opinion on the hog law question. ..." [
source - May 28, 1886].  So likely Northeast quadrant.

Beat #2 - County Commissioner - W. T. Rowland
          "Mr. W. T. Rowland, near Cotton Gin, announces this week for re-
          election, and commissioner of Beat No. 1" [source - April 2, 1886, 
          Note conflict.] Likely Southwest quadrant.
                    
Beat #3 - County Commissioner - J[ames] S[anford] Ivy
           "Messrs. J. S. and John Ivy, near Butler were in town [Fairfield] 
           this week."  [August 3, 1886] Known to live in the Butler area. So
