Daughter of Late Postmaster Named to Wortham Post

WORTHAM, Nov 23 - Miss Jessmyr Hood, assistant postmaster of Wortham, has
received the recommendation from Congressman Luther A. Johnson to succeed her
father as postmaster of Wortham.  Tom H. Hood, Wortham's postmaster, suffered a
fatal attack of acute indegestion Thrusday.  Miss Hood was born and reared in
Wortham.
