Robinson My Dear Brother I received your letter last week but did not have time to answer it immediately. I received one from Sister Lizzie the day afterwards and could not decide which to answer first so I concluded to answer yours first as I received it first. I was sorrie to hear Sister Fannie was so sick hope she is better now. Is Miss Laura at your house now? Where is Mrs. McCrackein? [Page 2] I wish you would write one more about the children any thing they do or say. I received a letter from Lawrence Saturday, he said Uncle Fred said he did not know he had such kinfolks. all the conection were well pleased with our visit and want us to go again be- fore we go home. Aunt Jane Davis and Jincy both had a party at their house Christmas. Miss Katie Patton is going to King Mountains in two weeks to teach music. I have not seen Hattie Young in two weeks. The disengaged young people had a social at Mr. Lowry last Friday night, [page 3] you know we are not disengaged so we had to stay at home. Mr. J. C. Holloway was married on the 23 to one of Cousin Brice Cousins. they will be here tomorrow night. I had to reade in the chapel before all the teachers and chollars[scholars]. Friday, Miss Stevens said I did very well (I ought after practice all week; I had to cry at first because I could not read to suit Miss S. Janie, Buddie and I went to Cousin Ida Saturday eveing, we had a very nice time. Cousin Ida gave me an onion which did one as much good as any presen[t] she [page 4] or any one else could give one. I had not had one since last summer. Mr. Kennedy is better but not able to teach. Emma Robinson is sick today. Fourteen boys are going to rent a house and keep Bachler[Bachelor] hall. all of them are Euphemians.
