Fairfield Nov 29 1879 Miss Sallie H Robinson Dear sister I received your letter yesterday. We are all well at present. Wash Picket was married to Miss Polley[?] last week. All of the young men went to marriage I went over to sister Mary monday and come home Tuesday they were all well over there, Miss Fannie Huck- aby was married to Sid Fryer last night. Sister Lizzie and Sallie Belle was the only ones that was invited Mr. Patterson and the new preacher stayed all night with us last night We have kill[ed] our hogs Some of them weighed two hundred and fifty lbs Mr Cooper shot at Mr Lane last week but did not hit him. we are looking for Cousin James out here every day Sister you must excuse this note for my finger is sore. your, J.
