[Letter from Susie White to Oliver Young Bonner, July 16, 1907] Fairfield, Texas July 16, 1907 Mr O. Y. Bonner Steward’s Mill Dear Sir: My time being limited Saturday, while in your community, I failed to see you in regard to your school. We had heard that Mr McAdams would not be at the store that afternoon, and thought probably you would and would get to see you as we came back.. [p. 2] I was disappointed in not getting to have a talk with you. Please consider my application for your school. There is no need of my undertaking to try to tell you whether I gave sat- isfaction as a teacher or not, as you have a bet- ter opportunity to find that out than I have. But of course if the trustees have confidence enough in me to give me the school I will do my duty by it to the best of my ability. [p.3] Thanking you in advance for your future kindess I am Yours very respectfully, Susie White
