Fairfield, Texas April 28, 1919 Dearest Joel, How are you? We are all right, Sneed has just gone to Kirven, he went with J.B. and Nannie at least he went along with them. They are going to see the air planes, air planes are going to all the towns to help the people to make up the Victory Loans Bonds of course they just draw the crowd. There was 2 came to Fairfield last Fri and Mamma & I went to see them as we never had seen any well the rest haven't seen any but they wouldn't loose the PG_2 time to go. I wanted Sneed to go out to town with me but he didn't want to loose any from school but after Jim Billie was going to see them at Kirven he dicided to go see them any way Our school will be out Fri any way. They had an accident with one in Fairfield when they started to leave as it started to fly it didn't have very good ground and it didn't get high enough up and run in highway and broke some thing about it so it didn't leave till next day. But no one was hurt. Well Sam Man- ahan got home yesterday while we were at church PG_3 We heard he was caming so as soon as we got home from church, Hunter Oliver and I went up there I sure was glad to see him and you can emagine how glad he was to get home Fred Carter has landed on the side and Mr Walthaw Brother Earl I guess they will be home soon. They had a party at Mrs Mathews Sat night we went had a real nice time and had preaching last night and I am so sleepy I don't know what to do, and we got up so early this morn so Sneed could get off as the airplane were to be in Kirven at 10 oclock, they left here about 5 oclock PG_4 They set the time up again this year 1 hour. Clara didn't come over here Fri as she Jessie & Cliff had planed to go fishing at Bonner bridge, she said they caught enough for dinner & supper Hunter & Oliver have gone to field to plow corn. Papa has gone to tend to stock It is a little cloudy this morning. I hope it will rain every thing is so dry. Well I don't know anything else to write so will stop for this time with love.
