Dear Friend
  Received your letter and
was very glad to hear from 
you in regards to our name.
you ask me to tell you 
where I was born and raised 
I was born and raised here 
and have lived here all of 
my life  I am only 22 yrs 
old but my father and 
his people came from 
Mississippi and have been 
over hear [here] for a long time 
My father said that his 
father had one brother 
that they did not know 
anything about he said 
that he though his name 
was Robert but said he 
was not for sure.
My father name is James 
Russel Harkness and he 
has to [two] sisters living one
