             M[ar]ch 21, 1929

Dear Cousin                     *A*
   You must excuse my 
seeming neglect in not thanking 
you for the paper you sent me.
I think it is the nicest 
piece of its kind I ever read.
I thank you very much for 
sending it & will keep it 
in my Bible with my other 
keepsakes. We never get the 
Recorder & I would never have 
seen it.
   You see from this paper

that we are in Sweetwater. 
We came home with Mary         *B*
& Hill & spent the night       *C*
here. Will make the rest of 
the way to Kerrville today. 
Mary came to Dallas to be      *B*
at a birthday party Dollie     *D*
was having for Do[illegible]--&  *E*
Hill came for her in the       *C*
car. So far the road has 
been paved--but a few 
miles on from here there

is a bad stretch of road then 
we have more paved road.
Lewis & Bertha had Mildred’s   *F, G, H*
cleft palate operated on 
but the operation was 
not a success, will 
have to have it done over. 
They were with us 
quite awhile. We’ve 
had lots of company & so 
many other things to attend 
that I have not had time 
to even write a letter.

I think of you every day & 
ask our Heavenly Father to 
keep you.
   We all have bad colds 
& my eyes have been 
sore for several days. 
I hope you are all well.
