I do not know when Francis Marion Pruitt died but I have found his grave near his sister, Louisa Pruitt Ware and her husband William Ira (W.I.) Ware in the Lindley Cemetery in Limestone Co., Tx. It is unknown why Francis Marion Pruitt and Ira and Louisa Pruitt Ware are buried in this Lindley Family Cemetary except maybe to explain that Louisa and Francis Marion Pruitt older sister, Rebecca A. Pruitt , married George Whitman and Whitman had a son named Nelson Whitman who married a Lindley named Sarah Gibb. She was the daughter of Simon Lindley and wife, Ann Hogg. Nelson Whitman was the step son of Rebecca A. Pruitt Whitman. She was also the grand daughter of Joesph and Ann Hicks Lindley, who are also buried in this cemetary until Memorial Day 1986 when he and his wife were reburied in Texas State Cemetary in Austin, Tx He was a Colonel in the Texas Cavalry, and a friend of M.B. Lamar who became the president of the Republic of Texas. This is found in Herman's Howling's book.
