Here are three pages of an Affidavit from John (Prewit) Pruitt attesting that
John H. Pruitt was his son and he did not have any family or children and his
name is full name is John Henry Pruitt and also Daniel S. Overstreet was a
witness to this affidavit and that he also knew John Henry Pruitt and that he
died in Little Rock, Ark. in July or August 1862 and that John Henry Pruitt
left Fairfield, Freestone Co., Texas on April 27, 1862 for military service for
the Confederate Army.
