Jesse Edgar Abston II


Funeral services were held Monday for Jesse Edgar Abston II, 76, of Oakwood who 
died Thursday, April 23.

Mr. Abston was born March 17, 1933 to Jesse and Lola Abston.

Services were held at 11 a.m. on Monday, April 27, at Fairfield's Church of 
Christ.

Burial followed at Houston National Cemetery on Tuesday, April 28.

Mr. Abston is survived by his sons, Jesse Edgar Abston III of Oakwood and Darryl 
Lee Abston of Waco; brothers, Roy Abston of Summerville, North Carolina and Paul 
Abston of Elkview, West Virginia; sister, Maxine Warren of Crosslanes, West 
Virginia; and grandchildren, Robert Tullos, and Chance and Wesley Abston.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Verna Ann Abston; son, David Allen Abston; 
daughter, Cherri Kimball; brothers, Earl and Billy Abston; and sister, Linda 
Abston.

Arrangements were made under the direction of Bowers Funeral Home in Teague.
