       GEORGE ANDERSON ADAMS PASSES AWAY AT FERRIS
       
  George Anderson Adams was born at Cotton Gin, Texas, Sept. 16, 1866. Died 
April 7, 1946 at Ferris Texas at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Jane Cole. He 
moved to Ferris, Tex. in Jan. 1914 from Morgan, Texas and had lived near Ferris 
ever since.
  He was married to Virginia Catherine Witte at McGregor, Texas Feb. 22, 1897. 
Then they moved to Morgan and lived there until 1914.
  To this union eight children were born, all of whom survive him. Also eleven 
grandchildren and one great grandaughter.
  His children are James A. Adams, Ardis A. Adams and Mrs. Jane Cole all of 
Ferris, Texas; Mrs. George Mae Nixon and Ollie O. Adams of Arlington, Texas; Mrs. 
Ruth Anderson of San Angelo; Julius J. Adams of Arlington, California and Charlie 
W. Adams of Oxnard, California. Mr. Adams was the son of the late Mrs. M. A. 
Tanner of this city and a brother of Mrs. Drury Weeks and the late Mrs. Alton
Jamison.
  His passing will be mourned by his many friends in Bosque County.
