Freestone County, Texas Obituaries The Fairfield Recorder newspaper - Thursday, January 26, 2006 Jack Raymond Alexander, Jr. Funeral services were held Friday for Jack Raymond Alexander, Jr. at Merriman-Archer Funeral Chapel with Rev. Charles Fischer officiating. Mr. Alexander, a resident of Fairfield, died January 13 at Dallas V. A. Hospital in Dallas at the age of 77. He was born to Jack Raymond Alexander, Sr. and Mamie Alexander on February 18, 1928 in Madisonville. Employed as a machinist, Mr. Alexander served in the United States Air Force. He moved from Woodson to Houston in 1977, then to Fairfield in 1992. He married Troy Benton on August 25, 1985. Mr. Alexander was also a Baptist. He is preceded in death by grandsons Steve Stephens and Charlie Stephens, two sisters and two brothers. Surviving Mr. Alexander are his wife, Troy Alexander of Fairfield; sons Jack Alexander III of Poolville and Ross Alexander of Throckmorton; daughter Sue Bett Alexander of Throckmorton; sisters Janie Peysler of Houston and Allene Garrison of Mason.
