Byron Gordon Allen

Byron Gordon Allen, 79, of Kirvin passed away Sunday, June 23, 2002 at VA
Hospital in Temple.

Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Capps Memorial Chapel in
Fairfield.

Services will 2 p.m. Wednesday at Capps Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Louis
Jones officiating. Interment will follow at St. Elmo Cemetery in Winkler.

Mr. Allen was born Dec. 29, 1922 in Fairfield. He had been a radio man in the
U.S. Navy. He was a Baptist.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William Bruce Allen and Louelle
Bennett.

Survivors include his wife, Shirley Allen of Kirvin; sons, Bill Allen of Irving
and Milton Allen of Blooming Grove; daughters, Sharon Huss of St. Peters, Mo.
and Dona LaBeau of Wright City, Mo.; brothers, Frank Allen of Lindale and Sam
Allen of Beaumont; sister, Wanda Hughes of Kirvin and Pat Burkett of Andrews;
and four grandchildren.
