Freestone County, Texas Obituaries Mexia Daily News- Aug. 2, 2005 edition Billy Allison Billy Allison, born in Freestone County on July 17, 1936, fought a courageous battle against cancer and went to be with the Lord on July 28, 2005. Billy faithfully served in the United States Air Force for 23 years, and after retirement, was employed for 19 years in Civil Service at the Logistic Center at Fort Lewis, Washington. He then earned a Bachelor of Science degree at UPS, followed by employment for two years by H&R Block. Billy, a member of the First Baptist Church of Lakewood, Washington, was preceded in death by his son, Scott. Surviving are his wife of 46 years, June; his daughter, Betty and her husband Jerry; two grandsons, Brandon and Leoluni Rabiso; and numerous other relatives. Visitation was held Sunday, July 31, from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m., and the family was present for the viewing from 3 until 4 p.m. at the New Tacoma Funeral Home in Tacoma, Washington. Graveside services were held Monday morning, Aug. 1, at the New Tacoma Cemetery. Following the graveside service, a Memorial service was held at 11:30 a.m. in First Baptist Church of Lakewood.
