Patricia Ann (Bailey) Allison 
(June 29, 1935 - September 27, 2011) 

Funeral services for Mrs. Pat Allison were held on Friday, September 30, 2011, 
at 2:00p.m. at First Baptist Church in Teague. Bro. Darrel Beggs and Bro. Scott 
Matthews officiated. Interment will follow the services at Greenwood Cemetery.

Patricia Ann Allison, best known in the community as Pat, was born as Patricia 
Ann Bailey in Newport News Virginia on June 29, 1935. She was the only child of 
Helen Manning and Robert Bailey. She married Freeman Eugene (Gene) Allison on 
August 16, 1953. Together they had seven very loved children: Debbie Hamilton, 
Bobby Allison, Gail Griffin, Jeff Allison, Brad Allison, Patti Taylor, and 
Natalie Persons.

Pat was a great seamstress, housewife, and baker. However; more than that she 
was a loving mother and grandmother, in fact many would argue she was the best 
mother and grandmother. She was well known in this community, county, and even 
state and country for her delicious cookies, which were made with a lot of love. 
Mrs. Allison always put others first before herself, and felt that she received 
many blessings in return. She was a strong willed, selfless, and compassionate 
woman whom was loved by many and will be missed by all.

Pallbearers at her service were her loving grandsons, and honorary pallbearers 
were those who loved and will miss Mrs. Allison and “her cookies.”

She is survived by four daughters, Debbie Hamilton, Gail Griffin & husband Mike, 
Patti Taylor & husband John, and Natalie Persons & husband Kevin; two sons, Jeff 
Allison, and Brad Allison & wife Angela all of Teague; sixteen grandchildren, 
Stacie Aclin & husband Ken, Stephanie Teer & husband Bryan, Andrea Roller & 
husband Cody, Sergeant Joshua P. Allison, USMC & wife Lori, Alex Hamilton & 
Fiancé Keith Cordova, Jessica Griffin, Scott Taylor, Jake Taylor, Taylor Allison, 
Emilee Allison, Loren Taylor, Tyler Allison, Zac Taylor, Kinsey Persons, Tanner 
Allison, and Kiley Persons; six great-grandchildren, Loren Hernandez, Griffin 
Prince, Jaiden Aclin, Tristan Allison, Maggie Teer, and Zane Allison; special 
nieces & nephews, Rita Ann Bennett, Larry Epps, Catherine Kephart, and Richard 
Epps; numerous friends.

Mrs. Allison was preceded in death by her husband, Gene Allison (May 22, 2006), 
her son Bobby Allison (November 5, 1976), her father Robert Bailey (October 25, 
1975), her mother Helen Manning (September 8, 1998), and her loving guardian 
Catherine F. Caren (March 4, 1975).
