Came to Navarro in 1865, Woman Dies

CORSICANA, Texas, Oct. 12 - Mrs. J. P. Anderson, 64, born near Tallahassee,
Fla., pioneer resident of Navarro County, coming to this county with her
parents in December of 1865, died at her home here Sunday at midnight. Her
husband died thirty-two years ago as the result of injuries received in a gin
accident. Mrs. Anderson has been a resident of Corsicana thirty-one years,
moving to this city from Winkler, Navarro County, where the family settled upon
their arrival from Florida.
Funeral services will be conducted at the home here Tuesday morning at 10
o'clock with burial in the St. Elmo Cemetery near Winkler.
