Freestone County, Texas Obituaries [Nancy Jane P. (Harrison) w/o J.C. Anderson] Fairfield Recorder - April 23, 1886 At her residence in Fairfield, Texas, about 2 o'clock a.m. Wednesday, April 21st, 1886, Mrs. Nannie Anderson, wife of Mr. J. C. Anderson, aged about 45. The deceased had been in bad health for a year or more, but it was not known that she was dangerously ill until a day or two before she died. Mrs. Anderson had been a resident of Fairfield for some fifteen or twenty years, and had a large circle of relatives and friends in the county to mourn her loss. Besides a sorrowing husband, she leaves a large family of sons and daughters who will feel most of all, the greatet of all bereavements - the loss of wifeand mother. The deceased we believe was born and raised in the county or came to it when quite young. Mrs. Anderson had been a member of the Methodist church for many years, and was always a consistent Christian, and it had been said of her, that she was one of those who was "an everday Christian". Her remains were interred Wednesday in the cemetery here [Fairfield cemetery], Rev. S. C. Littlepage presiding.
