Rev. Mark Muson and Rev. Bennie Mize officiated. Interment followed at Union Cemetery in Freestone county. Mrs. Archer died Friday [24 Feb 2006] after a brief illness at San Marcos. She was born June 29, 1910 to Miles T. and Beatrice Devine in Donie. Her life was centered on her church and her family was her life's work. She is survived by her daughter JoAnn Nicosia and husband R. Tim of Wimberly; grandsons C. Timothy Nicosia of Santa Fe, NM and David A. Nicosia of Lockhart; sister Nita Richardson and brothers Jack Devine and wife Peggy and Glen Devine and wife G. F. and other relatives and friends. Casket bearers were Tommy R. Turner, Bill Turner, Don Turner, Ken Turner, Trent Turner, C. Timothy Nicosia and David A. Niocosia. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church in Donie. Also to the Vista Care Hospice Foundation of San Marcos or the charity of your choice. Her Christian faith was the cornerstone of her life, her family was her life work and joy and her friends enriched each day throughout her time here on earth. Mrs. Archer is survived by her daughter JoAnn Nicosia and husband R. Tim of Wimberly; grandsons C. Timothy Nicosia of Santa Fe, NM and David A. Nicosia of Lockhart; sister Nita Richardson; and brothers Jack Devine and wife Peggy and Glen Devine and wife G. F.; and other relatives and friends. Services were at 1 p.m. on Monday, February 27, 2006 at First Baptist Church of Donie with Reverend Mark Munson and Reverend Bennie Mize in charge. Burial followed at Union Cemetery in Freestone County. Pallbearers were Tommy Turner, Bill Turner, Don Turner, Ken Turner, Trent Turner, C. Timothy Nicosia and David Nicosia.
