Freestone County, Texas Obituaries Tyler Wade Archibald Our loving Tyler Wade Archibald, 32, passed on to eternal life having succumbed to his lengthy, courageous fight against a wretched disease on December 1, 2013 at Baylor Hospital in Dallas, Texas. He fought his battle with courage, humanity, grace and dignity. Our hearts are heavy with the loss of our precious Tyler. We pray for him and that a cure for the deadly disease will be close at hand. Tyler was born September 7, 1981 in Big Springs, Texas. He was a loving husband, father, son, brother and friend. He loved life and lived everyday positive. Golf was his passion and he loved all sports. He enjoyed the outdoors and being with his family and friends. He is survived by the love of his life, Cinnamon Archibald and his proudest accomplishment, his son, Austin Wade Archibald and children Kristin Shaw and Preston Long; mother, Christie Archibald of Mexia; father, Robert Archibald Jr. and wife Maria of Florida; brothers, Chadwick Archibald and wife Debora of Heath, Texas and Jason Archibald and wife Heather of San Angelo, Texas; sisters, Jennifer and Jessica Archibald of Flordia; in-laws were Louis Quinn of Chandler, North Carolina and Mary Alice Quinn of Farifield; grandparents, Frances Daniell of Mexia and Robert Imogene Archibald of Mexia and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and dear friends. He was preceded in death by grandfather, O.R. Daniell; grandmother, Betty Archibald and Uncle Joe Daniell. Visitation will be held at Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home in Fairfield on Wednesday, December 4, 2013 from 5-8 pm. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 am Thursday, December 5, 2013 at First Baptist Church in Mexia with Marcus Sheffield officiating. Burial will follow at Mexia Cemetery.
