Freestone County, Texas Obituaries The Teague Chronicle Dec. 10, 2009 issue Mrs. Hazel Aycock (Died December 7, 2009) Funeral services for Mrs. Hazel Aycock, 96, were held on Thursday, December 10, 2009, at First Baptist Church in Teague with Bro. Darrel Beggs officiating. Interment followed the services at Post Oak Cemetery in Fairfield. Hazel was born in the Post Oak Community near Fairfield, but moved to Teague at the age of five with her family when her father purchased a grocery store there and graduated from Teague High School in the Class of 1929 and went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Baylor University in 1933. She married D. O. (Buster) Aycock in 1935 and shared over fifty-nine years together before being separated by his death in 1995. Mrs. Aycock helped her husband in several businesses including grocery, tractor & truck sales, and later Aycock Motor Company, GM dealer, until he retired in 1976. She was a dedicated member of First Baptist Church for almost ninety years and taught Sunday School and was involved in numerous ministries during her lifetime. Mrs. Aycock was preceded in death by her husband and one daughter, Lyda Lynn Aycock Crews. She is survived by one son, Doug Aycock, retired Physician, & wife Caorl Ann of Montgomery; son-in-law, Dr. Lance Crews of Temple; one grandson, Clayton Crews & wife Missie; two great-grandsons, Sloan Crews and Connor Crews all of Belton.
