Baggett, aged 36, who was unmarried and made his home with his parents, Mr. & Mrs. C.F. Baggett three miles north of the city died on Monday, Dec. 30 of influenza. He was a singular case. He had been ill for only about a week and pneumonia as is usual in these cases did not set up. Funeral services were conducted at Hopewell cemetery by Rev. W.B. Preston of Teague Tues. afternoon at 3:30 o'clock and interment was in Hopewell cemetery at 4:30. Mr.Baggett is survived by his parents, a brother, Jno. C. Baggett, assistant cashier at First State Bank and five sisters, Mrs. Cleveland Jones, Mrs. Walter Jones, Mrs. Walter Connell, and two single sisters at home, Misses Maymie and Ruth Baggett.
