Freestone County, Texas Obituaries Teague Chronicle February 21st, 2008 MILDRED FAY BAKER Funeral services for Mrs. Mildred Fay (Farmer) Baker, 72, of Buffalo, Texas, were held on Thursday, February 14, 2008, at the Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Buffalo, Texas. Larry Baker officiated and interment was at Buffalo Cemetery. Mrs. Baker was born on February 25, 1935, in Huntington, Tennessee, to Marion James and Sara Ethel Dodd Farmer. She passed away on Monday, February 11, 2008, at her home in Buffalo. Mrs. Baker had lived in Buffalo for eight years after moving from Carthage. She was a restaurant owner and a member of Circle C Church in Mt. Pleasant. Mrs. Baker is survived by her husband of 53 years, Malcom Baker of Buffalo; her sons James Baker and wife Penny of Mt. Pleasant, Danny Baker and wife Debbie of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, Michael Baker and wife Judy of Mt. Pleasant; her daughters Cathy Bryant of Mabank, Cindy Mettlen of Jewett, Melinda Haggard and husband Billy of Carthridge and Lisa Velarda of Old Hickory, Tennessee; her sister Ethel Mae Leek of Atlanta, Texas; 27 grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents. Pallbearers for Mrs. Baker were Matt Barentine, Charlie Phifer, Jack Knighton, Anthony Whited, Christopher Dailey, Danny Baker, Jr., Stephen Zarcone, James Baker, Jr.; alternates were Brian Travis and Michael Banker, Jr. Memorial Funeral Home of Buffalo was in charge of the arrangements.
