Reverend Brandon Rowe, son-in-law of Ms. Banks, served as Eulogist and Reverend A.L. Thibodeaux officiated the services. Interment was at Salem Cemetery in Teague. Ms. Banks was born on January 16, 1947, in Freestone County, Texas and passed away on Thursday, June 14, 2007, at Charlton Methodist Hospital in Dallas, Texas. She had been a resident of Teague, Houston and Dallas, Texas. Ms. Banks worked as a Cosmetologist at Waynes’ Coiffure Boutique in Houston. She was a member of Salem Missionary Baptist Church in Teague. Ms. Banks is survived by her daughter Barbara Rowe and husband Brandon of Dallas, her sisters Christine Yeldell and husband Billy of Dallas and Sybil Burrell and husband Bobby of Teague, her brothers Edward Banks and wife Coris, Maurice Banks, Chauncey Banks and wife Hazel, Curtis Banks and wife Lelia and Raymond Banks all of Dallas, McKinley Banks of Houston and Urban Banks of Teague, her sister-in-law Berna Banks of Dallas, her aunts Eugenia Scott of Centerville and Mary Liza Banks of Dallas, two grandchildren Brittany and Brenton Rowe, her care-giver Belinda Hurd of Dallas, a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Casket bearers for Ms. Banks were Terrie Banks, DeWayne Hutchinson, Truman T. Banks, Curtis B. Banks, Shawn Banks, Nelson Edetan, Donald Ray Hutchinson, Daniel Banks, DeMorris Banks and Patrick Banks.
