Bro. Orval Barger and Bro. Steve Cowart will officiate. Interment will follow the services at Greenwood Cemetery in Teague. Visitation will be held on Friday with the family present from 6:00p.m. until 8:00p.m. at the funeral home. Mrs. Barger passed away on Thursday, April 10, 2008, at Providence Hospital in Waco. Zelma was a precious wife and mother who loved her family dearly. She was a faithful member of Eighth Avenue Baptist Church for over fifty-five years and taught the Sunday school for the two & three year olds class for forty-five years. She loved the precious children and they loved her. She was loved dearly by everyone. She is survived by her loving husband of almost sixty-two years, W.C. Barger of Teague; two daughters, Pat Cothran of Teague and Judy Lucas of Palestine; son, Glenn Ray Barger of Donie; five grandchildren, Nannette Posey, Sheila LaFoy, Wade Cothran, Jason Barger & wife Anya, and Brittinee Barger; eight great-grandchildren, Amber & husband Walt, Matthew, Emily, Shelby, Morgan, Cameron, and Westyn; two great-great-grandchildren, Luke & Rylee; four sisters, Faye Miller, Thelma Vincent (her twin sister), Bobbie Harville, and Marie Byrne all of Houston; one brother, Joe Rogers & wife Jerry of Teague; her brothers & sisters-in-law; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Mrs. Barger was born on March 19, 1926 to parents Ardis and Emma Rogers. She was a member of Eighth Avenue Baptist Church in Teague for over 55 years where she served as a Sunday school teacher for the youth. Services were held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 12, at Eighth Avenue Baptist Church with Orval Barger and Steve Cowart officiating. Interment followed at Greenwood Cemetery in Teague. Mrs. Barger is survived by husband W.C.
