Joyce (Lane) Barr 
(November 12, 1950 - February 23, 2012) 

Funeral services for Mrs. Joyce Barr were held on Saturday at 2:00p.m. at Bowers 
Funeral Home in Teague. Bro. Steve McCeig officiated. Interment followed the 
services at Dew Cemetery.

Mrs. Barr passed away on Thursday, February 23, 2012, at her residence in Mabank. 
She was born on November 12, 1950, in Teague. Mrs. Barr enjoyed sewing, quilting, 
and loved making crafts. She also enjoyed camping, going to yard sales and 
especially going to First Monday in Canton. Mrs. Barr drove a school bus for 
Mabank ISD and really enjoyed her job. Mrs. Barr was a loving mom, wife, and 
sister; and loved her grandbabies very much.

She is survived by her husband, Billy Joe Barr of Mabank; children, Donnetta 
Ethridge & husband Tommy of Mabank, James Edward Drury Jr. & wife Melissa of 
San Antonio, Trina Ann Ruse & husband Randy of Mabank, Linda Pearl Smith & 
husband Raymond of Mabank, and Patricia Sue Barr & husband Craig of Mabank. 
Grandchildren, Jacob Castillo, Trey Smith, Christopher Smith, Collin Perryman, 
Vanessa O’Canas, Joseph Smith, Chasadie Moore, Tiffany Drury, Michael Smith, J. 
T. Rios, Jonathan Smith, Megan Perryman, Andrew Smith, Michael Ethridge, Mark 
Ethridge, Matthew Ethridge, Stephanie Ethridge, & Stacy Ethridge; two Great-
Grandchildren, Cereniti O’Conas & Conner Perryman; two sisters, Jeanie Woodall 
of Fairfield and Delores Gilbert of Teague; one brother, Marvin Lane of Dew; 
as well as numerous other relatives and friends.

Mrs. Barr was preceded in death by one grandson, Jerrod Bradley Drury, and her 
parents, Pearl Laverne McCeig and Lester Cross Lane Jr.
