Beasley (January 5, 1932 - August 17, 2011) U.S. Veteran Funeral services for Mr. Kenneth Beasley were held on Saturday, August 20, 2011, at 10:00a.m. at Bowers Funeral Home in Teague. Bro. Steve Cowart officiated. Interment followed the services at Antioch Cemetery in Luna. Mr. Beasley passed away on Wednesday, August 17, 2011, at Trinity-Mother Frances Hospital in Tyler. He was born in Luna on January 5, 1932 to Carl & Mary Jane Moncrief Beasley. He graduated from Teague High School in the class of 1949 and served in the U.S. Army. Mr. Beasley married Clela Ray on May 23, 1952 and shared over fifty-nine years together. He worked as a conductor for the railroad in Teague for forty-two years. Mr. Beasley enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping. He and Clela took numerous RV trips with several other couples from the area over the years. Mr. Beasley was a member of Boggy Masonic Lodge #739 in Teague for over fifty years. He was a Baptist by faith and was saved at Eighth Avenue Baptist Church in 1951. He is survived by his wife, Clela Sue Beasley of Teague; one son, Kenneth Ray Beasley & wife Shirlyn of Decatur; three grandchildren, Ethan Kayne Beasley of Midlothian, Jessica Beasley, and Halee Beasley both of Decatur; two sisters, Dean Nevils and Pat Chappell both of Fairfield; one brother, Randall Beasley of Crockett; one brother-in-law, Lee Roy Ray of Mansfield; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Mr. Beasley was preceded in death by his daughter, Reatha Jane Ledford and his parents.
