WILLIE EARL BELL (BIG BELL)

Funeral services were held last Thursday at Grove Island AME Church in Teague
for Willie Earl Bell, 58, of Dallas who died Dec. 22 at Methodist Hospital of 
Dallas among family and friends.

Interment followed at Grove Island Cemetery in Teague.

Mr. Bell was born January 29, 1952 in Dallas to Vernon Earl Matlock and Katie
Ruth Bell Tatum.

He worked as a cook at the Sheraton Hotel in Dallas and a laborer at COBOR 
Industries of Dallas.

Mr. Bell was preceded in death by his parents and brother Darrell Tatum.

He is survived by daughter Brittany Nicole Bell; brothers Purvis Tatum and 
wife Helen and Dwight Tatum, all of Dallas;

Sisters Diane Tatum, Debra Tatum, Doris Roberson and Sherry Roberson, all of 
Dallas; grandchild Trinitee High of Mexia; Special friend Ginger Wright of
Mexia; aunts Bessie Mae Bell and Billy Ruth Heggar; and a host of nieces, 
nephews and other relatives and friends.

Officiating services was Elder DeAndra Johnson and the Reverend Dr. M.L. Curry.

Making arrangements was Moore’s Angelic Funeral home of Teague.
