Martha Ann Wheat Bell

Martha Ann Wheat Bell was born July 5, 1932 in Teague to Lawrence B. and Johnnie 
Mae (Carroll) Wheat. She woke up in Heaven Wednesday morning Nov. 19, 2014 at 
the age of 82. She was greeted by sons, Charles Ray Wheat (September 2002), Paul 
Wayne Bell (December 2002), Jimmy Dale Bell (February 2003); son-in-law, Ronald 
Lee Shaw (May 2014) and great-grandson Jacob Ross Montgomery (September 2009). 
Also greeting her were brothers, L.B. Wheat, Virgil Wheat, Glen Wheat; sisters, 
Mae Evelyn Bland, Vera Woodard and her parents.

She is survived by her daughters, Georgia Wing and husband Roger of Kerens, 
Carolyn Shaw of Corsicana, Joyce Elliott of Waxahachie and Avelina Wheat Garcia 
of Wortham; son, Bobby Bell and wife Beverly of Trinidad; her 12 grandchildren 
that God granted her, Renee' Greene and husband Kenneth of Kerens, Bobby Greene 
and wife Leeanne of Kerens, Laura Smith and husband Casey of Robinson, Heather 
Shaw of Corsicana, Jearld Montgomery and wife Devon of Rice, Jason Montgomery 
and wife Jerika of Corsicana, Sam Ward and wife YuVon of Purdon, Shelley McDaniel 
and husband Mike of Pursley, Hollie Kananda and husband Francis of Wortham, 
Sabrina Johnson of Bailey, Brittany Melton and husband Stephen of Emhouse and 
Alicia Bell of Trinidad. She was such a wonderful Granny, Nanny or Grandmother 
as she was called that God granted her 18 great-grandchildren, MacKenzie and 
Austin Greene, Leah-Anne, Briar and Brayden Greene, Madison Smith, Sarah, Jerry 
and Kelly Montgomery, Larrissa Morgan and Xia Ward, Paden and Lucas McDaniel, 
Adriana Kananda, Billy, Mason and Derick Johnson and Kameron Bell. She is also 
survived by brothers, Marvin Wheat of Waco and Walter Wheat and wife Doris of 
Abilene; sisters, Geneva Almon, Hazel Jayroe of Garland and too many nieces, 
nephews, cousins and friends to name.

Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 22, 2014 at Griffin-Roughton 
Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 23, 2014 at Griffin-Roughton Funeral 
Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Hamilton-Beeman Cemetery. Pallbearers will be 
her grandsons, Sam Ward, Bobby Greene, Casey Smith, Kenneth Tucker, Jerald 
Montgomery, Jason Montgomery, Mike McDaniel, Stephen Melton, and Francis Kananda.
