Mattie Ruth (Jackson) Berry

Funeral Service for Mattie Ruth (Jackson) Berry were held Saturday, September 8, 
2012, at 1:00 p.m. at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Fairfield, TX. Rev. Willie 
Anderson served as Eulogist. Burial followed in Asia Cemetery, Teague, Texas.

Mattie was born June 5, 1914 to the late David Jackson, Sr. and Lela Henderson, 
in Freestone County, and went to be with the Lord on September 3, 2012 at 
Parkview Regional Hospital in Mexia, Texas.

Mattie is preceded in death by her parents, David Jackson, Sr. and Lela 
(Henderson) Jackson; Husband, Willie Berry; brothers, Oscar, JW, Grant, David, 
Jr.; and sister, Velma.

She leaves to cherish her memory sister Rosetta Davis; nieces Claudine Gains, 
Odessa Mims, and a host of other nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Pearly Gates Funeral Home was in charge of the services.
