Sara Sanford (Courtney) Berryhill

Services for Sara Sanford Berryhill, 61, of Elkhart will be at 1 p.m. Thursday
at Bailey & Foster Chapel with the Rev. Barney Walker officiating. Burial will
follow at 3 p.m. in Wortham Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of 
Bailey & Foster Funeral Home, Palestine.

Mrs. Berryhill died Sunday in Palestine, Texas.

She was born March 1, 1945 in Carrizo Springs, to George and Mildred Herweck
Courtney. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

Mrs. Berryhill was preceded in death by her late husband Homer Sanford; her 
parents, George and Mildred Courtney; sister, Rita Jo Mount; grandchildren, 
Stephen Sanford Jr., Darcy Sanford and Joshua Sanford.

She is survived by her husband,, Wayne Berryhill of Elkhart; daughters, Kathy
Jo Moore and husband John of Round Rock, Karol Ann Slaughter and husband Troy 
of Trinidad; son, Stephen Sanford and wife Tammy of Canton, N. Carolina; step-
daughters, Missy Quintana and husband Anthony of Elkhart, Melanie Schatz and 
Sandra Shepard, both of Palestine, Linda Corbin of Houston, 17 grandchildren, 
seven great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, and her beloved dog 
Bandit.

Condolence calls will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Bailey & Foster 
Funeral Home, Palestine.
