FORT WORTH - Virginia Tucker Billings, a retired social worker for the American
Red Cross, died Monday at a Fort Worth nursing home. She was 72.

Private funeral will be in Teague, Freestone County.

Laurel Land Funeral Home in Fort Worth is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Billings was born in Teague and lived in San Francisco for 25 years 
before moving to Fort Worth one year ago.She was a graduate of the University 
of Texas and a member of Calvary Presbyterian Church in San Francisco, where 
she was a deacon. She was also a member of the International Chapter of P.E.O.

Mrs. Billings was the wife of John S. Billings, who died in 1989.

Survivors: Sister, Modene Stubbs of Dallas.
