Lulie Lee (Archibald) Black

Funeral services for Lulie Lee (Archibald) Black, 81, of Mexia will be Thursday
at 3 at Porter-Holmes Funeral Chapel with Rev. Homer Tarkington officiating.
Burial will be Point Enterprise Cemetery. Mrs. Black died today at her home.
She was born Feb 5, 1904 in Oletha, and had lived in Mexia most of her life.
She was a homemaker, and a member of Tehuacana Methodist Church. Survivors
include two sons, W.L. Black of Mexia and Argie Black of Teague; two daughters,
Vera Mae Phillips and Margie Farris, both of Mexia; and three sisters, Jewell
Coons of Mexia, Ozell Little of Corpus Christi and Myrtle Shipp of Longview.
She was preceded in death by her husband, W.A. (Al) Black in March 1972.
Pallbearers are Larry James, James Rickard, W.A.Haley, Raymond James Keys,
Jimmie Porter, Joe Allen and Robert Archibald. Honorary pallbearers are Jimmie
Cotton, Johnny Cox, R.L. Hawkins, S.M. Cotton and members of Mexia Police
Department.
