John Henry Black

Thursday morning services are slated for John Henry Black of Mexia, 72, a
retired farmer who died Tuesday morning in General Mexia Hospital. The Rev.
John Curry of Shiloh Baptist Church will officiate at the 10:30 rites at
Blair-Stubbs Funeral Chapel. Pallbearers are Buddy Black, Gobin Black, Cecil
McDonald Jr., Kenneth Morris, Ronnie Morris, and Royce Morris. Burial for the
lifetime Limestone resident will be in Mexia Cemetery. He is survived by his
wife, Mrs. Allie Mae Black of Mexia; four brothers, Lee, Dee, and Elijah Black,
all of Mexia, and George Black of Houston; four sisters, Mrs, Cecil McDonald
Sr., of Mexia, Mrs. Lula Mae Kelly and Mrs. Cleonia Campbell, both of Teague,
and Mrs. Irene Ellis of Sweeney, and two grandchildren. Blair-Stubbs is
handling arrangements.
