Freestone County, Texas Obituaries The Fairfield Recorder Thursday, May 15, 1986 - Page 4B James Glendale Black Funeral services were held last Tuesday for Freestone county native James Glendale Black, 72, who died recently at Live Oak. Mr. Black was born June 16, 1913, in Freestone county and lived in Longview. He died Sunday, May 4. He was a retired heat treater for Le Tourneau Steel Mill and a member of Lanely United Methodist Church. Services were conducted at 2:30 p.m. last Tuesday at Capps Memorial Chapel with Rev. Dwight Atchley officiating. Burial was at Richland Cemetery at Richland. Special music was provided by Frank O'Bannion and soloist Gail Tillery who performed "How Great Thou Art" and "My Savior First of All". Pallbearers were Berry Black, Stephen Black, Alan Hicks, Dennis Lane, Ronnie Killingsworth and Clyde Richard Thomas. Mr. Black is surived by two sisters, Ruth Cleaton of Universal City and Mary Joyce Scott of Lamesa; and three brothers, Claude Black of Longview, Purvis Black of Fairfield, and Kenneth Black of Houston. Arrangements were made by Capps Memorial Chapel of Fairfield.
