Ima (Hiett) Black

Funeral services were held earlier this week for Ima Black, 98, of Fairfield who died 
Saturday, Aug. 9.

Mrs. Black was born in Longview on Dec. 2, 1909, to David Edward and Willie Brazzil 
Hiett.

Services were held at 10 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 11, at Capps Memorial Chapel with Ed 
Ridge officiating.

Burial was at Forest Hill Cemetery in Longview.

Mrs. Black is survived by her daughter Claudette Hicks and husband Allen of Fairfield; 
grandson Brad Hicks and wife Erin of Fairfield; great-grandsons Greer and Holden 
Hicks; sisters Dimple Ester of Longview and Odie Smith of Fairfield; and brother Ed 
Hiett of Longview.

She was preceded in death by her husband Claud Loften Black; parents David Edward 
and Willie Brazzil Hiett; two brothers and two sisters.
Arrangements were made by Capps Memorial Chapel of Fairfield.
