Polly Hinson (Day) Black

Funeral services for Mrs. Polly Hinson (Day) Black of 317 North Tenth Street
were at 2:30 p.m. today in Connally Chapel, Rev. Roy L. Smith officiating,
burial in Prairie Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers were Ben, James, and Larry Black,
Robbie Dan and Kenneth Fleming and P.C. Hutchison Jr. Mrs. Black died at 2:30
a.m. Tuesday in a local hospital. She was 80. Mrs. Black was born in Troy, Ala.
She moved to Waco from Mart six years ago. She was a member of Mt. Calm Baptist
Church. Survivors include her husband, Dan Black; three daughters, Mrs. Nellie
Hutchison of 317 North Tenth Street, Mrs. Ollie Phillips of Crystal Springs,
Miss., Mrs.  Maudie Lee Fleming of Houston; five sons , Maurice Day of
Pasadena, G.D. Black of Mart, Elmer Black of Groesbeck, Fred Black of Mart and
J.R. Black of 1407 Alson Ave; a brother, Jess Hinson.
