BLACKMORE departed this life leaving a wife and a large family of enteresting children and an aged sister to mourn his departure. The writer has known the deceased for nearly a quarter of a century and had always found him a devoted Christian an honest man, a good citizen and a kind neighbor. He had attained to the ripe age of sixty-five, but during his long contact with this sinful world he was able to have a reputation unstained by the least touch of dishonor. He was an active member and elder of the Presbyterian (Old Seligol) Church. His brethren will miss his wise counsels, his active cooperation and his generous liberality. Some of us feel that we have lost a true friend and that we have another strong attachment to draw us heavenward. To his Loyal family sincere condolence and sympathy herein tendered. In Sadness, W. H. PARKS. --------------------------------- THE BOSQUE CITIZEN newspaper - May 15, 1890 issue SHEEP DEPARTMENT Mr. J. A. BLACKMORE entered two rams belonging to Parks & Randall at the public shearing but on account of scarcity of shears he failed to get them sheared. Last week he sheared one of them and took the fleece to Morgan to be weighed. It weighed between the first and second heaviest fleeces shown at the public shearing. He would have taken 2d premium if his sheep had been sheared at the public shearing. He thinks the other one entered will shear heavier than the one he has already sheared. Mr. BLACKMORE has had charge of these bucks since last fall and has a lot of magnificent lambs from them. He knows how to pat the tallow on the kidneys of the lambs. Same Page.. Rev W. H. Parks has been summoned by wire to attend the funeral of Mr. J. A. BLACKMORE
