Dorothy C. (Allen) Blasingame

Funeral services were held last week for Dorothy C. Blasingame, 96, of Buffalo 
who died Monday, Nov. 3 in Palestine.,

Mrs. Blasingame was born in Houston on Feb. 18, 1912, to James Franklin and 
Athie Victoria (Hall) Allen.

Services were held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 6, at Bethel Baptist Church in 
Buffalo where Mrs. Blasingame was a member.

Officiating the services was Larry Morris.

Burial followed at Buffalo Cemetery with Steven Anders, Rusk Anders, Tyler 
Rutherford, Matthew Reily, James Reily and Rick Reily serving as pallbearers.

Serving as honorary pallbearer was Dr. L.V. Pentecost.

Mrs. Blasingame is survived by her husband of 78 years, Rusk Benjamin Blasingame 
of Oakwood; daughters, Patricia Blasingame Anders and husband James of Oakwood 
and Linda Blasingame Rutherford and husband Daniel of San Antonio; six 
grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents James Franklin and Athie Victoria 
(Hall) Allen; brother Raymond Allen; and sister-inlaw, Ann Allen.

Arrangements were made by Memorial Funeral Home of Buffalo.
