Juanita Margaret Blissett, 89, of Dawson passed away Monday, Nov. 18, 2002 in
Mexia.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Wade Funeral Home.
Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Cade Cemetery in Streetman with 
the Rev. James Hooper officiating.

Mrs. Blissett was born Oct. 25, 1913 in Streetman. She had been a resident of
Dawson since 1948. She worked as a grocery clerk in Dawson and Hubbard for 
many years. She loved gardening and raising her grandkids. She was a member of
First Baptist Church of Dawson.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Buck Blissett in 1998; son, James 
Blissett in 1988; grandson, Jimmy Blissett in 2000; and an infant daughter.

Survivors include her sons, Bobby Blissett of Blooming Grove and Jerry Blissett
of Malone; daughter, Patsy Blissett of Purdon; 11 grandchildren and 20 great-
grandchildren.

Mrs. Juanita Margaret Blissett, 89, of Dawson died Monday, November 18, at a 
Mexia hospital. She was born October 25, 1913 in Streetman and had been a 
resident of Dawson since 1948. She worked as a grocery clerk in Dawson and 
Hubbard for many years. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Dawson. 
She was preceded in death by her husband, Buck Blissett in 1998; one son, 
James Blissett in 1988; one grandson, Jimmy Blissett in 2000; and an infant 
daughter. Survivors include: two sons, Bobby Blissett of Blooming Grove and 
Jerry Blissett of Malone; one daughter, Patsy Blissett of Purdon; 11 
grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren. Graveside services were held at 11 
a.m. Thursday, November 21, at Cade Cemetery in Streetman with Rev. James 
Hooper officiating.
