Freestone County, Texas Obituaries Corsicana Weekly Light newspaper - Thursday, March 9, 1978 Neal Blount FAIRFIELD — Services for Neal Blount, 61, resident of Tennessee Colony who died Thursday in a Palestine Hospital, were held here Saturday in the Capps Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. D. Dewey Morgan officiated, and burial was in Lake Chapel Cemetery near Fairfield. He was born July 20, 1916, in Fairfield, and had lived in the Bethal Community near Tennessee Colony since 1970. He was retired from Texaco, Inc. and was a member of the Ward Prairie Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Nelda Blount of Tennessee Colony; two sons, Ben Blount of Austin and John Blount of Dallas; a daughter, Mrs. Paula E. Cox of Lancaster; a step-son, Billy Darnell of Jacksonville; his mother, Mrs. Pirtle G. (Elizabeth) Blount of Fairfield; a brother, Wayne Blount of Fairfield; two sisters, Mrs. L. P. (Fannie Ruth) Await of Fairfield and Mrs. Sam (Cloteal) Watson of Madisonville; seven grandchildren and one great­grandchild.
