(Wash) Bloxom, aged 75, will be grieved to learn of his death on January 31. Mr. Bloxom was a pioneer citizen of Navarro and Freestone counties. He was one of our best citizens and held the love and respect of all that knew him. He joined the Missionary Baptist Church at the age of 14 years and was made a deacon at the age of 38, and has been a member of Caney Baptist Church in Burleson community since 1915. Mr. Bloxom was the father of eight children, 2 boys died in Infancy; 6 survive him, four boys and two girls. Our deepest sympathy goes out to the bereaved children and other relatives and his host of friends. He will be greatly missed in the church and the community, but the Lord called, and Bro. Bloxom was ready for the summons. His body was laid to rest in Woodland cemetery on February 1. R. L. Ryburn conducted the funeral services. —Reporter.
