Bonner Dies at Home, Services Slated Saturday W. E. Bonner, 74, of 3611 Dickason, longtime "dean of Dallas fire insurance agents," died Thursday at his home after a long illness. He was general agent in Dallas for Commercial Union Assurance of London until his retirement several years ago. Bonner entered the fire insurance business in 1904. He was one of the founders of the Texas Insurance Agents Advisory Committee. Bonner was a native of Woodland, Freestone County. He was a past Most Loyal Gander of, and held life membership in, the Blue Goose, a fire insurance fraternal organization. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church. Survivors are his wife; two sons, W. E. Bonner, Jr. of Dallas and Dr. Dick Bonner of Sherman; two brothers, Joe Bonner of Teague, Freestone County, and Edwin P. Bonner of Dallas; six sisters, Mrs. W. Neil Johnson and Mrs. Alan McWhorter, both of Dallas; Mrs. Burt Semple of El Paso; Mrs. Hubert Everett of Fort Worth; Mrs. Lafe Behan of Cloverport, Ky and Mrs. Mattie Clyde Parsley of Rockport, Ky., and one grandchild. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Oneal Funeral Chapel, 3206 Oak Lawn. The Rev. W. A. Dealey of Churchill Way Presbyterian Church and the Rev. H. Kerr Taylor of the First Presbyterian Church will officiate. Entombment will be in Hillcrest Mausoleum. Pallbearers will be L. F. Corrigan, G. S. Yeargan, W. J. Boston, Neil Johnson Jr., Van Coffee and Howard Clark Jr.
