Freestone County, Texas Obituaries [From Capps Memorial website:] CARL YATES (UNCLE PETE) BONNER June 3, 1924 - November 26, 2011 BIOGRAPHY Carl Yates (Uncle Pete) Bonner, 87, of Fairfield, passed away Saturday, November 26, 2011 in Fairfield. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 29, 2011 at Capps Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow at Bonner Cemetery. Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday, November 28, 2011 at Capps Memorial Chapel.  Mr. Bonner was born June 3, 1924 in the Stewards Mill community of Freestone County, to parents Paul Young Bonner and Lula May Willard Bonner. He graduated from Fairfield High School in 1942 and served in the U.S. Army in Ft. Lewis, Washington. He married Lena Fay Canady on June 4, 1949 in Streetman. Mr. Bonner enjoyed hunting during his life.
