Thelma Jane (Robertson) Bonner
October 22, 1919 - March 5, 2014

BIOGRAPHY
Thelma Jane Bonner, 94, of Fairfield, passed away Wednesday, March 5, 2014 in 
Fairfield.
 
Mrs. Bonner was born October 22, 1919 in Munger, TX in Limestone County; to 
parents Carl Jackson and Willie Lola Hamilton Robertson. She was raised in 
Turlington and attended Antioch Church and Sugar Hill School. She graduated from 
Fairfield High School on June 1, 1937 and married John Y. Bonner, Sr. on June 4, 
1937 in Fairfield and he preceded her in death on July 9, 2011. 

Thelma was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, Fairfield Saddle Club and Woodman 
of the World. She enjoyed crocheting Afghans, antiques, ranching with John and 
being secretary at their automotive shop and supporting Constable Bonner with 
females. She always provided three home cooked meals a day while raising two 
kids. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by three 
brothers, C. J. Robertson, Jr.; David Monroe Robertson and Jack Hamilton 
Robertson. 

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Lola Jane Salter and husband Thomas 
of Fairfield; John Y. Bonner, Jr. and wife Geri of Fairfield.
