Freestone County, Texas Obituaries From the Fairfield Recorder in Apr 2004: [This is Theophilus Hunter Bonner] Offie "Dock" Bonner Funeral services were held Mon., April 5 for Mr. Offie "Dock" Bonner, 81, of Blossom who died Thrus., April 1, at Paris Regional Medical Center. Internment services were held at the Evergreen Cemetery and officiated by Rev. Randall Scott and Rev. Larry Solice. Mr. Bonner was born May 12, 1922, in Fairfield. He was a corporal in the United States Army during World War II and received the American Theater Campaign Medal, Good Conduct Medal, Victory Ribbon and Overseas Service Bar. He worked for 13 years as a fence installer for Sears and then worked 24 years for Thomas Food Marts. He was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church. His survivors include his wife, Billie Maxine Kelly Bonner; daughter, Mary Rhoades and husband, Gary, of Blossom; granddaughter, Shawonna Brown and husband, Jeff, of Paris; three great-grandsons, Abrahm, Trevor, and Devin; two brothers, D. A. Bonner and wife, Pat, of Fairfield and Charles Mack Bonner and wife, Ann, of Mexia; two sisters, Jorene Wells of Channelview and Majorie Nell Herndon and husband, Dick, of Ulvade; two sisters-in-law, Margaret Tippit of Paris and Joe Butler of Edna; a dear friend, Roy Landers of Bonham; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Mr. Bonner was preceeded in death by his parents, James Millen and Artie Ola Teer Bonner; four brothers, John Laird Bonner, Wilson Bonner, Richard Bonner, and Eugene Bonner; and by one sister, Annie Lee Bonner. Arrangements were handled by Bright-Holland Funeral Home.
