Freestone County, Texas Obituaries Albert Thomas Bonner, Sr. April 14, 1927 - July 25, 2016 Albert Thomas Bonner, Sr. 89, of Fairfield, died Monday, July 25, 2016 at his residence. Mr. Bonner was born April 14, 1927 in Bonnerville in Freestone County to Jim Billie and Nannie Bell York Bonner. He married Maxene Frederick on February 22, 1956 in Orange, Texas. Albert at one time owned and operated a chair factory in Fairfield. He and his brother Sam operated a Sinclair Gas Station which Albert took over when Sam left for the military. He operated several other gas stations at various locations in Fairfield during the following years retiring from that business in the late 1990’s. Mr. Bonner also raised cattle on some of the best pasture land in the county. He was a faithful member of Calvary Baptist Church since 1957. After retirement Albert’s schedule included fishing; daily visits to Hometown Pharmacy, Bookshire Bros. the Senior Center and the Post Office. Albert loved his family, his church and God. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son Buddy in 2010, two sisters, Hope Baker and Laura Bell; four brothers, John, Joel, Bill and Sam and a granddaughter-in law, Cindy Bonner. Left to cherish his memory is his wife Maxene; two children, Diann Harris and husband Mike of Waxahachie; Bobby Bonner and wife Donette of Fairfield; grandchildren, Jeff and Diana Harris; Jason and Jessica Harris all of Waxahachie; Krista and Jeremy Sanders of Fairfield; Jenny and David Blaschke of Bryan, TX; Sarah Bonner of College Station, TX; Keith Bonner of Fairfield; great-grandchildren, Macy and Marlie Harris; Harper and Hudson Harris; Seth, Ian and Jack Sanders; Sophia and Levi Blaschke.
