Freestone County, Texas Obituaries Obituary of Maxene (Frederick) Bonner Maxene Frederick Bonner passed into her heavenly home on March 21, 2025. Maxene, along with her twin sister Earlene, was born into the Frederick family on October 2, 1937 in Garrison, Texas to her parents Clyde Lee and Dollie and was welcomed by five older brothers. Maxene’s father was a Baptist preacher, so while her childhood home was mostly in Southeast Texas, her family lived in Freestone County while her father was the preacher at Caney Baptist Church. During that time, Maxene, while walking around Fairfield, caught the eye of Albert Bonner while he was working at his station, which was one of several in which he was proprietor. Albert and Maxene were married on February 22, 1956 and, shortly after, started their family. Maxene’s family was her treasure. She treated every family member as if that one was her most prized one. She was dedicated to her husband, her children, her grandchildren, and her great-grandchildren—there was not a single thing she would refuse any one of them, albeit sometimes she fulfilled their requests begrudgingly. When her husband needed a calf because one had died, she searched Texas and brought one back in the backseat of her car. When the station was short handed, she pumped gas or worked the register. When the cows were out during the station’s working hours, she went to the pasture to play cowgirl. When her grandchildren asked for ice cream, donuts, cheese dip, or sodas, she refused not one. In her down time, which was directly after lunch, Maxene would oftentimes sit in the domino games going on in her kitchen. She was good and took the game seriously. Maxene is survived by her children: DiAnn Harris and husband Mike, Bobby Bonner and wife Donette; grandchildren: Jeff Harris and wife Diana, Jason Harris and wife Jessica, Krista Sanders and husband Jeremy, Jenny Blaschke and husband Dave, Sarah Hooker and husband Matt, and Keith Bonner; and 12 grandchildren: Macy and Marlie Harris, Harper and Hudson Harris, Seth, Jack, and Ian Sanders, Sophia, Levi, Mark, and Liam Blaschke, and Mason Hooker. Maxene’s family who preceded her in death are her parents, Clyde Lee and Dollie Lunsford Frederick, her husband, Albert Bonner, her son, Albert (Buddy) Bonner, Jr., her brothers Charles, Robert, LC, and Langston Frederick, and her twin sister Earlene Frederick Marze; and many other beloved family members. ----------------------- General Information Full Name: Maxene Bonner Date of Birth: Saturday, October 2nd, 1937 Date of Death: Friday, March 21st, 2025 Visitation When: Tuesday, March 25th, 2025 1:00pm - 2:00pm Location: Capps Memorial Chapel at 113 E.
