Freestone County, Texas Obituaries Mexia Daily News - June 1, 2006 edition Clyde LeMoine Bounds WORTHAM - Clyde LeMoine Bounds of Wortham passed away May 30, 2006. Services will be held at the First United Methodist Church of Wortham at 2 p.m. on Friday, June 2, 2006. Conducting the service will be Brad Brittian and Beverly Hamilton. Burial will follow at the Wortham Cemetery. Visitation will be this evening from 6 until 8 o’clock (Thursday, June 1, 2006) in Porter Chapel in Wortham. LaMoine was born on May 21, 1926, in Wortham, graduating from Wortham High School in 1942. LeMoine joined the Navy during World War II, received an honorable discharge and returned to attend Baylor University, graduating with a BBA. After a long career, including over 25 years as a salesman for Bancroft- Whitney Company, LeMoine retired in 1985 and returned to his hometown of Wortham. As a “retiree,” LeMoine returned to ranching and opened the Power Fence Store in Wortham. LeMoine was an active member of the Methodist Church in Wortham, an avid supporter of local FFA/4H students; and enjoyed working with his cattle, especially his Longhorns, his goats, and traveling to see the fall foliage and Spring flowers. LeMoine was preceded in death by his parents, Oliver A. and Lenora Lee Bounds; his first wife, Jacqueline Nell Bounds, and by a stepson-in-law, Mike Hooks. He is survived by his beloved wife, Miriam Jenkins Bounds; his son, Jack M. Bounds and wife, Evelyn; his daughter, Cherry Kay Wolf and husband, Mike; his son, Edward Lee Bounds and wife, Tonya; his stepson, Alan Bounds; his step-daughters, Sharon Hooks and Sandy Mick and husband, Rick; three grandsons - Jack LeMoine Bounds, William Edward Bounds, and Thomas Oliver Bounds. Although an only child, Lemoine’s life was enriched by numerous cousins, uncles, aunts, nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Raymond Taggert, James Arnold Reece, Billy Vinson, Gerald Ray Eddings, James Black and Russell Hall. Honorary pallbearers are Paul Culwell, Dr. Dean Buchmeyer, Dwight Cherry, Alton Frost, L.T. Bennett and Deward LeFevre.
